The BEST YouTube ADVICE You Don't Want to Hear (But Need To) - Have you heard of Alex Hormozi? I'm sure in the past 12 months you've seen his meteoric rise as his videos are constantly on the homepage with millions of views.

In just a year, he went from having less than 85k subscribers to almost a million. Looking at his stats on Social Blade, he has gained over 80 million views on his videos in just 365 days, which is simply mind-blowing.

I recently came across a video of Alex talking about his rise to success, and I have to say, his advice on YouTube is some of the best I've heard. He has a lot of valuable insights that can really help you grow your channel, even though it might not be what you want to hear.

📖 What I'm Reading

The Deep Fake Sponsorship Controversy Involving Joe Rogan - You have probably come across the hilarious deep fakes that have been circulating online, such as the one featuring Joe Rogan and Ben Shapiro arguing about getting "Ratatouilled." Unfortunately, some individuals with malicious intent have spoiled the fun by using AI technology for nefarious purposes. Specifically, a deep fake video was created that showed Joe Rogan endorsing a product he had never talked about.

A TikTok scam quickly gained traction as the video was utilized to persuade viewers to purchase the product, with an AI version of podcaster Joe Rogan making an appearance in the ad. In the video, Rogan talks to his guest about libido supplements for men, specifically promoting a brand called "Alpha Grind."

Rogan touts the efficacy of the product, claiming it is one of the highest-rated items on Amazon and even going so far as to say, "If you go to Amazon and type in Libido Booster for Men, you're going to find it right at the top. Because guys are figuring out that it literally is increasing size and making a difference down there." Although AI is still in its early stages, it is clear that the technology will continue to advance and bring about numerous benefits. However, it is also undeniably concerning that it can be used in ways such as this.

We have been living in the "misinformation age" era for several years now, with only 26% of the average American citizen holding a favorable view of the news media. As AI continues to blur the line between reality and fabrication, it is sure to be a challenging journey as distinguishing fact from fiction becomes increasingly tricky.

📖 News Article I'm Reading

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki steps down after nine years - Depending on who you ask, Susan Wojcicki has been a divisive figure for some time now. During her tenure as CEO, a number of policies were implemented that led to many channels struggling to survive and eventually disappearing, whether for valid reasons or not. Personally, I have appreciated her leadership in recent years as it has felt much more hands-off compared to her early days as CEO.

As Neal Mohan takes over as the new head of YouTube, it will be intriguing to observe what changes he will bring to the platform. It is hoped that he will make YouTube a more formidable competitor to Twitch by concentrating on live streaming, introducing more avenues for creators to monetize their content and turn it into a full-time job, and enhancing the comments section to make it more robust, similar to those found on Reddit and TikTok.
