This YouTuber 23xed his views by taking cues from an outlier in his niche.
Here’s why this packaging works so well:
If you watch the two videos, the recreation of this video is far superior in production value and is far more condensed at 8 minutes compared to the original’s 18 minutes.
You get the information much faster and clearer, which I also think is a factor in why this video performed so well compared to their other videos.
If you’re not leveraging the data of other channels in your niche, then you’re likely just guessing and hoping something works. This isn't the best way to grow your channel once you start getting some traction.
Let’s Talk About Efficiency vs. Effectiveness
Think of your YouTube channel as an orchard. When you start, you plant as many seeds (videos) as you can.
This is like uploading videos regularly to build your channel.
Here, efficiency, which in this case is making lots of videos, is important as you learn many of the skills needed to be a good YouTuber.
But once your trees start growing, just planting more seeds without seeing which trees give the best fruit is a waste. Instead, you should focus on the trees that give the most fruit. This is being effective.
Why Effectiveness is Better:
Most YouTubers make many videos and don't look back to see which ones did well or which videos performed well on bigger channels with hundreds of videos.
This is a huge mistake as you have to learn from these past videos.
Trying to upload one video a week isn't helpful once you’ve gotten into the habit of making videos and sharpened your skill stack.
I truly think the answer for many of you who are struggling with growth is to be more careful about which video ideas you choose.
If you want the same effort to give you 10 times better results, you need to change something.
Spend the next 30 minutes using 1of10.com (cheeky affiliate link, lol) or View Stats Pro, or even check out my tool, The Thumbnail Vault, to find videos in your niche that have performed.
Good luck!

The fastest way to automate your content workflow with AI - I’ve been using Castmagic for the past few weeks and it’s pretty cool! Castmagic is an AI-powered tool designed to streamline content creation from audio and video files.
I’ve been using it to upload my podcast videos and let it transcribe and generate various content types such as blog posts, email newsletters, social media posts, video scripts, and more. As it’s using AI, you can change the prompts themselves to help refine the output, and it’s getting very good at saving me time. They have a free trial so you can give it a whirl and see if it fits in your workflow.
